Care Guide
Sterling silver jewellery should be kept in a dark, cool and dry place.
Do not store your jewellery in direct sunlight as prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause gemstones to fade and lose their colour.
Your jewellery may be damaged from the effects of chemicals present in perfume, hairspray, make-up, nail polish remover, body oils, sun tan lotion and deodorant
Store your jewellery pieces individually, preferably in your Oia pouch so that they don’t rub together, scratch or tangle.
If your jewellery loses its shine over time, then just gently polish your jewellery using a soft, lint-free cloth or chamois to maintain or restore its shine. If needed, a gentle washing-up liquid mixed with warm water and a soft toothbrush can be used. Afterwards, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry with a gentle cloth.
Stay away from 'dip' polishes or harsh jewellery cleaning solutions, as they have strong chemicals that can damage your jewellery over time. We advise against using polishing cloths that contain cleaning or shining agents.
To clean, using a dry soft lint free cloth, periodically wipe clean your gold items, this will keep your jewellery looking shiny. Ideally, store your Oia jewellery pouches in a dark, cool and dry place within an air tight box or bag to help reduce scratching and tangling.
